  • Right glove, left glove?

(Quick note. To all those that replied to my first post 'heavy bag training questions' thank you so much, the information was brilliant and really helped. I say that here, because I'm still learning how to use the threads and did reply to everyone that posted but not sure of it came out that way because I didn't quote?)

Now to the real question. Quick question. Just one question.

I finished a rope and bag session today, and after taking of my gloves I was just kinda whacking the bag around a bit (I know I shouldn't do that) just to show it who's boss you know? I like to do that, when I'm finished hitting the bag and before I jump in the shower, just make sure 'it' knows who's boss in the house. I give it a bit of 'hey?'..'what?'

Bit then I kinda just fell I to this interesting idea, I'm always coming up with weird and wonky stuff when training, my mind just kinda works it's own thing.

I thought to myself 'what if I switch to southpaw now wouldn't that be weird' and plus u always see and hear about all these fancy fighters who do that mid fight with fancy footwork (but that's not why i did it although that did partly contribute to it sticking in a dark, cheesy corner of my mind somewhere. But I just did it out of curiosity, and before u know it I was having a real curious session on the bag, southpaw, kind like trying to kids a new girlfriend in the dark and stuff.

So after some time trying to find my feet, and hands.

(I think I looked quite slick by the way, I'll have u know).

I wondered if this would be any good for training?

For improving, balance, structure, strength, speed, power and coordination etc

For strengthening all the weaker limbs u know?

If u r an orthodox fighter (and a brilliant kinda 'better than Muhammad Ali one' I might add at that, ahem) would it benefit u to take a couple of sessions out a week to switch to southpaw and train? On the bag, shadow boxing etc. every exercise where u have to punch.

    ?

I suppose u cld ask the question in reverse. If u were southpaw, as well.

    Thanks.
