How he skips rope is very high level. There ain't any definitive steps to get there that can be written in a post for your perusal. It's building off of a foundation until you stand on a peak. It's all about body coordination and cohesiveness.

A few things I have noticed..

For what it's worth Floyd seems to manipulate his skip rope like a nunchaku when he transitions between sets... Flashy to the eye but he doesn't have to move his feet as much. It's actually a rest for him, a bit, In between the more difficult or physically strenuous parts.

Also, speed... Off one jump he can pass the rope 3-4 full revolutions. He does this with hand speed, engaging the core, and lifting his feet.... Like an acrobat. This also helps him do his little turn around move. That and a well timed flick of the wrist....

The best way to learn how to skip the rope correctly is to do it as often as you can and everything else comes naturally. Once you get the right rhytm and the coordination between your legs and your hands is good enough, you can try some more "fancy" stuff. I learnt some of that stuff Mayweather does pretty soon actually, it took me less than a year. Basic boxing style of skipping rope is the best though and should be the focus of your exercise unless you want to be in some circus show.

Just keep practicing and learning a few tricks, look on youtube. To be honest, he doesn't do anything too complicated he's just fast (get a speed rope) and get fast at it. I pretty much learned his jump rope style in 6 months honestly.

I could post a vid if anybody doubts me.
