everlast is good, there's a difference between the ones they sell at kmart for 20$ and the ones you can buy for 100$+ which are made from proper leather.

He's a beginner, he doesn't need to buy expensive gloves. What if he decided he doesn't like boxing? A beginner only needs the old school heavy bag gloves that look like mittens. That's what I started with and my hands were fine. Btw I bought mine for $50 at ****s sporting goods.
