They use diuretics to cut weight. They basically just dry you out, than they use the IV to rehydrate. And some guys will use a salt/alcohol bath.

As far as TRT and steroids go, those are way more prevalent in MMA. UFC had there own Doctor Prescribing it to a bunch of there fighters at one point, and once NSAC took away TRT exemptions, they all got caught juicing there skulls off.

    It was pretty crazy tbh.

Ye it was/ is pretty prevelant in MMA . I was wondering if boxing was the same way . But like I said for me , I was more curious inregards to weight cutting purposes ... Hell , in MMA people are getting popped every fight card. Its nuts !

What's often missed is that anabolic steroids are also anti catabolic. In short they short circuit the bodies ability to burn muscle mass for energy by blocking the function of cortisol.

If you are eating 2000Cal/Day and burning 4000Cal/Day that extra energy has to come from somewhere. Normally the body would ramp up cortisol production under such stress and get a large share of it's energy from muscle mass. But with cortisol blunted that energy has to come from fat.

Still, not very fond of the idea of growing female boobs at the end of the steroid usage.

If you just got too much fat on you right now I think just improving your eating habits is the best way to go about losing weight. I wouldn't recommend T.

For actual day of weight cutting I think you wanna stay away from standard boxing weight lose techniques. Read up on the hot water bathtub **** MMA guys are making all the rage these days. Thats a more effective means of losing quick weight & also takes less of a toll on the body.

Liposuction is probably better. I've been seriously considering liposuction. Having like 1 professional fight at either lightweight or super featherweight, making a couple grands, then having a liposuction to drop the weight to featherweight. Then, it is easy to maintain that weight with efforts rather than dropping the weight all the way to featherweight. Just gotta drop 2 more kg then gain 2kg of fat to feel strong. Most boxers have boxed & have been in shapes since they were young, so this weight loss thing seems irrelevant to you. But as for me, a regular joe, I had been fat for a decade, and weight is an issue.

Wasn't joking. I've been seriously looking into liposuction. As I said, it's not a topic for most boxers who have always been shape. It is just for regular Joe's like me.
