  • Boxing gym in Vegas?

Hey everyone, I'm looking around for a gym to start in and found a few up here in Vegas. Would be going to Floyd gym, but I ain't balling to where I can spend $200+ per month lol

I looked at Barry's Boxing and Johnny Tocco Gym.

Both has its pros and cons.

Barry's Boxing seems like a nice and clean gym to box at, but they don't have personal 1 on 1 training from what I ask the GM.

Johnny seems like a more "hardcore" gym, 1 on 1 and the trainers seems really good, since I talk to a few of them.

Price is a different story lol

Now, I am a total beginner, no real life experienced, beside watching films. No cardio what so ever, beside lifting 4 days at the gym.

I could work with either, but I wanna know what would be best to start off and get the foundation correctly.

I'm also open to other gym if anyone has any recommendations.

    Thanks!

Have you checked out Fernando Vargas' gym?? Cool ass dude and vibe. He is there EVERYDAY or at least most of the time, I caught him there training young fighters when I visited. His two sons also train there.

I'm POSITIVE the prices are good/affordable because the reason he put it that neighborhood was to give back to the community. It isn't the most fancy of neighborhoods but the gym is pretty nice. Drive down there and check it out for yourself.

If you're a beginner with no experience, don't even think about going somewhere with no 1 on 1 training. Unless you just wanna learn how to do shit wrong. You could hang a heavy bag in your bedroom and hit it wrong. You'll want someone that can teach you to do things the right way.

Thank you for the input! Was thinking about that and I'll see if I can do the 1 on 1 training, since some places are expensive lol for me at the moment. But of course, I have passion for boxing, but wanna start somewhere first that would fit my budget.

Do they really charge $200 a month to train at the Mayweather gym?

I heard it was 250$ for a week pass.

                  Month pass is 600$

They try and get people to do the year passes at 5k .

Most people do the week passes.take their kid and bounce. Some people pay the month pass and act ****** rich.

Those are **** prices. For $200 I can make a deal for 5 months at my gym. Not to mention they probably shut everything the **** down and don't allow anyone outside of the close circle to train while Mayweather is in there.
