Depends entirely on the type of weight you want to gain and how much time you want to take to put it on. Your BMR also matters, my maintenance number is now up at 3200 calories, the lower it is the more limited you'll be with food choice.
I always recommend taking your time with weight gain as quick weight gain will be made up of over 80% fat.
Keep your diet clean as far as macros and calories are concerned (if you can work your numbers to allow a burger and the likes, go for it). I rely mostly on meat, eggs, wholemeal bread (I consume anywhere from 700-1000 calories per day through the bread alone), pasta....I'm a fan of higher carbs but very low sugar and no dairy products.
