(I'm sorry, I don't know where to place this thread.)
So,,, I have nowhere to turn and I figured that some of you boxers may have more experience with this kind of thing...
Background Story : Firstly, I LOVE boxing! My dad and I were always watching it and I even saw the moment (LIVE) where Mike T. bit Floyd M.'s ear!!! >.<
Anyway, My dad put me in Karate, and we started learning Jujitsu together but things fell apart. He did these things for me, because I am really tiny and can't really defend myself.
My mother and father divorced early in my childhood. I have 3 younger brothers whom I basically raised. There was little-to-no fighting, just me being their second mother. I was very responsible and took great care of them.
..
There's a lot more to the story!!! I am 32 and I have been abused by caretakers and loved ones throughout my entire life. (Every form of abuse!)
I have such bad anxiety disorders, that I never leave my bed and ONLY post to forums.
Okay... So at a very young age, I craved escape from my life (my hell). I met a young man and we stayed together for 4 years. He seemed so perfect! I held out until he convinced me we would marry, when we turned 18. So, I finally gave him what he wanted (which you may be able to guess.)
After that, He started psychologically, emotionally and even mildly physically abusing me. When he turned 18 before I did, he dumped me, revealing that he'd been extremely unfaithful. I was so sad. I gave up.
Soon after, I met a very quiet, smart, attractive, too-good-to-be-true man.
It only took him about 1 - 2 years , once I was madly in love to start abusing me. It started out slow, with him blaming me.
Sadly, I stayed with him for 15 years until my family found out and turned him in.
Now,,, I've had my hair grabbed and slammed into a hard glass TV, walls and worse, concrete.
He would corner me and beat the side of my head under my hairline to the point I'd lose count.
*** My question is : Can getting beaten on your temples and under my hair ( a lot of hair pulling/dragging me by it too), can this trigger constant pain?
I am an author and have noticeably lost a lot of information that my brain once stored, but I can still write/speak/I look alright even, but why the pain? Is this something anyone else has experienced?
Also, I've been strangled a lot (choked). Is this the new me, forever? Or is there hope?
Thanks for any responses!
