  • Dieting and Preparing meals

    Hi,
I work and train a lot and struggle preparing any meals or snacks and wondered whether there was any helpful advice anyone can give me. I manage to make weight easy all the time so that's not a problem but I'm always eating ****ty foods such as pre made sandwhiches etc or not eating at all. Is there anyone that can give me advice on an easier way to master this or are there any supplements I can take instead of some meals.
    Thanks.

Learn to cook enough basics that you can cook in bulk is the easiest advice I can give you.

For instance I'll cook 2-3 full sweep potatoes while at the same time cooking like 10 chicken thighs with skin. It's easy as heck, poke some hopes in the sweet potatoes throw them in the oven at 350.

Season chicken thighs with fresh garlic, light salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and whatever else you like, throw them in the over for a hour with the sweep potatoes.

You can have the entire thing prepped and in the over in 5 minutes, good, healthy, delicious, food, cheap too.

Last night I cooked 2 racks of ribs, meatloaf is really good easy thing to cook too.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I'll give that a go tonight. Like you say it's just learning to cook in bulk, something I'll have to get used to

Yeah here's some advice, eat 3 meals a day instead of 5-6. Man for the first year I bulked I was struggling to get the food down and cook enough, eating about 6 5-600 calorie meals a day. Then I realized I can just eat 3 1000 calorie meals with some snacks in there to get to my goal. Made it waaaay easier.

I also cook large portions - put them in the freezer - and they are easy and quick to heat.

Or I make a big bowl of salad that will last for 3 lunches, and fill up with tuna, chicken etc.

For my sweet cravings, I make home made protein bars - yummy...

Also, when in doubt, cook some eggs up.

One of the best things you can eat, easy and quick to cook. I like to throw some salsa on them.

For a snack, hard boil them.
