    Beginner Advice

Hey, I have a few questions I'd like to ask.

I seriously want to get into training but I'd like to diet properly, I'm looking at weighing up and eating 6 meals a day. I currently weight about 65kg (143 pounds) and my height is 6ft. How many calories should I be eating a day and how many grams of protein, carbs and fat should I be looking into each meal. I have a fast metabolism and work as a labourer by day so i struggle to put weight on.

I'd also like to know what products should I look at getting before getting into the gym and what products are recommended without being to pricey like training gloves, mouth guard etc.

    Cheers

None of us can give you exact amounts of which type of foods you can eat as we don't know exactly how much you exercise and things. However, some basic advice would be to have a balanced diet. I would say around 40% of your diet should be protein if you're looking to put muscle on. But a lot of people nowa days are so focused on protein and carbs that they don't intake all the other nutrients they need. Make sure you're getting your fibres, fats, minerals and vitamins. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Of course, avoid processed food as much as possible.

I can't be too precise but if you want to gain size/muscle, intake slightly more calories than you burn off.
