Hi I've just started boxing after being a 100m sprinter for 15 years and was wondering what kind of free weights if any I should do, I have looked online but there is so much conflicting information, any help would much appreciated

1 pound dumb bells, pullups, and pushups is all you should really need to be honest if you are just starting off in boxing.
But at the same time I also believe in trying to become better in general, if that makes any sense? You should always be striving to become a better athlete in general so whatever you have to do to become stronger and faster you do it. I still do the Big 3(Bench, Squat, Deadlift)but you don't need to lift a ton of weights for boxing. The focus should be adding strength without necessarily get over bulky.Last edited by Biolink; 05-28-2015, 12:31 PM.
