Here are the simple facts - Smoking decreases cardiovascular health, no matter how good or great you "think" you are. Side effects can occur while sleeping, resting, OR exercising, not just during heavy aerobic workouts. It restricts the ability to breath (and causes lung fatigue) and thereby cuts oxygen to the brain/muscles. Now, you may not feel the effects of it now, or in the next few years, but when you die 15 years early from cancer, well...you'll wish you had passed on the weed. Especially considering one joint equates to four cigarettes.

I'm a former weed head. I mean big time. probably over a QP of quality **** over a 4-5 day span. It never mixed with boxing. The worst thing it did was kill my motivation. "I know that I should have said somthing more severe" but the fact is other than that I was fine. Had good stanima and strength. Healthy lungs and looked good during training. that is when I was motivated. Your will power when it comes to diet suffers to. So with that combination I wasn't as good as I could have been. The Ganja? nope all me. As an athlete I should have known better and practiced better. Should have had the mind set to over come. I just quit one day. after the first couple of times turning it down my partners quit offering and it was done. I hate all the afterschool special sounding posts on this thread. It annoys the hell out of me. It's not that bad. Not saying you should run out and get twisted, but cmmon. I thought the 1950's ignorance was out of the picture. You would be very suprise how many athletes especially in Boxing where it is easier to get away with who smoke bud. Even some holding belts.
BOO TO THA HATAS MAN. DA HERB NO HURT NOTHING.

Smoking anything is bad period.Lungs arnt made to inhale smoke. If u like ur ganja and cant quit, no let me rephrase that WONT quit, then eat the stuff, but cook it before to kill any germs, dont wanna give yaself hepatitis. If u still cant do without a joint smoke um pure no tabaco.
I am not advising peopel to smoke or eat bud before some1 has a go.

I used to smoke heavily and to tell you truth, everytime I have some I smoke, I smoke it. But I don't much anymore cause I'm dead broke. haha. With Me I used to smoke at night, eat so much damn food, get up in the morning feeling bad I ate so much crap, so i would go to the gym and work my ass off. Probably harder then I do know. But for me at least, in the long run its better, eating at night isn't good, and I used to tear apart anything in sight after I smoke. I still do it here and there but not as common as I used to. It effects everyone different ya know, everyones body & phyche is different.

Eating too many processed foods, drinking alcohol, and smoking will endanger your health. Breathing in smog filled city air will endanger your health. Your health is constantly being attacked from many fronts at all times. The best thing you can do to stay healthy is to regulate the things you have control over such as drinking, eating processed foods, and smoking pot. Try cutting back on the weed to once a week with friends, eventually to once every two weeks, and then to once a month. Eventually you won't even feel the need for it and will just do it once in awhile. A further benefit will be that your tolerance will go down so you will get even higher, sooner.
It's all about moderation.
