It depends on what body type you have ,if you are short stocky ,the power
is going to come mainly from hooks which is most bicep ,chest, lats and front shoulders ,taller punchers are more straight punchers the power comes from mostly triceps ,delts and back ,legs and style depends on how you punch ,legs are important as the lower back which is a part many dont train ,it helps greatly with digging in punches and general balance ,you have to think all the body is one punch not just one muscle at a time/arm punches...what form you use dictates everything ,only you wi'll know that .Everything was basically covered here with the training aspect, do wrist, and Forearm excersises thats where the power stems ,while your legs will serve as the anchor... how much force you can generate all depends what muscles you are able to make stronger and adapt to punching.

Straight punches come from the triceps which connects to the back of your shoulder muscles ,which goes to the shoulder blades which push straight punches ,,the triceps are 3 times bigger than the biceps anyway why would that make you punch like a girl? You have never even thrown a punch at an actual person so you dont even know the different mechanics in different punches, stick to video games ...

On that note as usual anyone can look up EVERYTHING i state .

paulie malignaggi will never be julian jackson.

power is developed, not taught. i'd keep hitting the heavy bag, for starters.

you'll get stronger if you put on muscle, but it will tire you out, and more importantly, it will make you weigh more. unless you're a HW, most boxers can't afford to be eating a lot and putting on weight.

focus on conditioning yourself to be able to throw hard for the duration of your fight / sparring. work on your positioning and timing. work on your technique. being able to shift your weight correctly through a target is goign to make you punch harder, in spite of the fact taht you really aren't becoming much "more powerful."

other than that, there are always drugs. manny's chin was going, but he was knocked out cold by marquez shots he used to eat like m & m's. marquez hooked up with a steroid guru, and went through puberty again in his late 30's. he was chubby against mayweather. ripped and covered with acne against manny. do the math.

i think it was a new technique that improved his power in a more significant way, not so much the roids which i agree he was probably on
