an open class fighter would never ask the question that you did. It'd be like an open class fighter asking if it's ok to throw a hook off of a jab, an open fighter would just know the answer from experience. And if he doesn't know the answer I would try to match my boys up against him as quickly as possible. Just sayin'..............

Well please explain ?? Cause what exactly did i make up??? You got so much info from me asking what would people do if it was them because it was 1st time in that situation for me,that i fight on expedtions with 12oz gloves, and at comps and things i fight with the normal 10oz,i dunno if its diffrent were your from or what, but i think it was a normal qustion to ask what other ppl would do,i answered your qustions, got nothing to hide, were as in you just seemed hell bent on starting somthing and didnt even give advice on what you would of done

the day before a fight you should do 4 hard rounds on the bag, get 4 solid rounds of sparring and then lift weights until you can't lift anymore...... and then go for a 5 mile spirited run.

              good luck in your expedition.

you are obviously the real deal, please carry on and enjoy............. my sincere apologies for bringing up the obvious.

Calm down op. Rockin had good reason to be su****ious until you mentioned it being an exhibition bout. I thought it was odd too since here in scotland 57kg (featherweight) is no longer a weightclas due to the introduction of women's boxing. And usually we would use 10oz gloves around that weight regardless of exhibition or competition. And even then you can't bring your own gloves, both are regulated gloves provided by amatuer boxing scotland. But it may work differently in Ireland.

But to answer your question it's best to keep it light on the day of training before a fight. Some fighters I know don't even train the day before a fight. But if you were to it would be best to only shadowbox or maybe hit the pads with your trainer. Some fighters who struggle to make weight may just jump rope for a while. It may be best to ask your coach though since you may be fighting twice in the weekend.

Cheers thats what i done just skiped, hit the bag lightly and bit of pad work, no theirs still 57 weight here, 54,57 and 60kg, think its only eliets that dont have 57kg instead they have 56,but i wouldnt be 100% sure on that, and depends on the place really,i mean some little hall out the country wouldnt really give a **** yano, but yes at comps like i said it is 10oz gloves and blah blah blah ha
