  • Going up in weight???

Iv just recently gone back to boxing after a couple of years break,i fight at 57kg,although i could nearly make 54kg, i do good sparing whit lads who are up and about th 60kg mark,it is hard for me to find regular sparring partners at my weight where i live, I have a really high metabolism and find almost impossible to put a bit of weight on, I have nationals coming up in 6months time or so,and really want to move up to 60kg or so and feel a bit stronger, Now you might say its only a 3kg or so difference from 57, but im under 57 most days, in other words how dose someone whit a really high metabolism gain those extra few pounds without my body completely shedding it after even half a training session???

Eat every 2-3 hours. Eat all the pies. You can calculate how many calories you need to intake daily to move up and maintain weight whilst training. Are you doing any strength/weight training?

One of the Yoda-level guys on here like Hedonist Frog will no doubt help you with that. Alternatively if you find a good/knowledgeable local personal trainer they can also help. My ex Gf was a personal trainer and she helped sort out how much I needed to intake to maintain muscle mass etc, so handy.
