  • Boxing shoes mishap

Hey everyone I'm new here, but I've been boxing for a pretty long time.

I have a pair of new boxing shoes that one of my nephews wore around the front yard while I was away at work, he's about 10 and he was emulating my training, I know you're not supposed to wear boxing shoes outside as they are indoor shoes and they might ruin the canvas of the ring. I've checked the soles and they look the same as I left them in mint condition, should I just spend a hundred bucks for a new pair? Or just wash them up and use them? I just got them too, all help will be appreciated!

    Thanks

as long as there is no mud, gum or dead worms on the sole of the shoes you will be fine. working on the grass will not harm the shoes.

Thanks for your input, he ran around on the driveway concrete as well, but I get what you're saying, as long as there's no noticeable damage or dirt, I should be fine.

I shadow boxed in a parking lot on the concrete for a good while, about a year. The only damage to my boxing shoes was that I wore out a hole at the big toe from throwing the right hands and the pivot that occurs while digging in, other than that they were fine.
