Thats how you get cut not by limiting your self to only certain types of food. Eat whatever you want to eat as long as it fits those macros.

Meal timing, eating only clean foods, no carbs before bed is all bro science.
this. I've never heard of don't eat after 4 pm. It's hard to see how that would help the topic starter's situation. There is also no need to cleanse or to fast for a day. Ketogenic diets can work, but are not necessary imo.

You're chubby because you lack any muscle mass. You can't show what you do not have. Whether or not any muscles show is in large part determined by your fat percentage, not by your weight. A percentage is relative to the rest. Therefore the overall goal when bulking is mostly to build muscle while not putting on too much fat. The overall goal when cutting is to retain built up muscle while losing the fat that hides it (lower fat percentage). The less muscle you have the more you have to cut back fat to show any muscle. The fact that you apparently do have some endurance or fitness doesn't change the fact that you probably do not have much muscle mass. Cut first and build some muscle later or build some muscle first and cut later is the solution. There is plenty of info on how to do that. I would personally build muscle first unless you are overweight.

I didn't come up with anything I posted

I quoted the leading guys in this field in the world , and gave links to what they said .

        That's not bro science

        That's actual real science

        Smdh

Whenever you post something new you get mocked

I thought trolling was preserved only for nsb but I guess some newbs don't realise that

Save for trolling for nsb and post some actual information or disprove something you disagree with

It was not my intention to mock you or anything. Was referring more to Rays post than yours. Your statement that ketosis achieves appetite suppression is deemed plausible in this research for instance: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25402637 It is I guess not proven and a lot is unclear about ketogenic diets (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25906427), but it would be going too far as to label it broscience. So if I gave that impression then I apologize.

However, and this has been proven, the basis in losing weight will always be the caloric deficit. That cannot be stressed enough. Within that framework a ketogenic diet can work. I do think that it's pretty hardcore for somebody that has never dieted in his life. Personally it would not be my first choice as any diet succeeds or fails by the user's willingness to stick to it. Ketogenic diets often require users to stop eating a lot of stuff they really want, making it that much harder to sit it out.

Facade- I Wasn't referring to you

I almost was gonna point that out in my point anticipating you might think I was

Ketogenic diets aren't the only way- they are one way. Everyone is different.

            And energy balance is important

look up eric helms, layne norton, alan aragon all phd in nutriotion and the most sought after coaches in the fitness world. im only relaying their info im cutting and im getting the leanest ive ever been eating at least 1 meal of what people consider "junk" food a day sometimes 2 depending if im really hungry or not. which is no such thing as "junk food" only more calorie densed food. calories are the most important part of body compostiotion followed by the macro nutrients goals.

but hey if u guys enjoy brown rice chicken breast and broccoli and having to go to bed hungry cuz your last meal is at 5pm because anything after is just suppose to **** up your fat loss go right ahead.

Ray Corso has trained boxers and has been around other trainers so when he suggests something it's from experience. I enjoy hearing what he has to say about exercise and fitness because he's coming from that perspective.

The PhDs and PubMed nerds have their place too and by all means post what their advice would be. But their way isn't necessarily the one and only way.

There should be room for all ideas here.

Someone else mentioned it here, but I bet your main problem isn't your BF, but your lack of LBM. A lot of people are skinny fat and cut, and then when they drop 20lbs they look in the mirrior and ask why they look the same. If you do not have a lot of muscle mass and cut, you're either going to just look Ethiopian or you're just going to look like a "smaller" version of your previous fat self. My mindset is, if you have to ponder whether to "bulk" or "cut" always bulk. If you were obese you would obviously cut regardless of amount of muscle you have or not. Just track your diet with a drop over maintenance and use progressive overload in the gym. I'm so glad I gave up bodybuilding a couple years back to focus more on martial arts. Lifting is still something I love, but I really hate what the BBing culture has become. Bunch narcassicitc, overnalyzing everything, groups of people. Sorry for mini rant lol.

ive been researching way more, past the fitness field scientists such as jacob wilson who advocate a high fat diet for building muscle mass and losing fat

i purchased a book called The China Study and it is strongly against the consumption of eggs and animal based proteins. instead, it promotes a plant based diet.

i am planning to switch up my diet to include way less eggs
