Am I hitting the heavy bag too much?

    Really depends, if there are other types of bags at your disposal mix it up, but you can never get too much bag work imo, as long as you aren't injured. Just try and keep a heathy does of sparring if possible, I know when I go through long spurts of no sparring then get back into sparring I get sonned. Even if you are working on slipping and movement when you are hitting a bag or with a slip rope or mitts, it's never the same thing as getting actually thrown at, ring rust is real.
