  • Advice on changing gyms

Hey guys lately I've been considering changing gyms. There's nothing wrong with the current one I'm going to or anything but lately this other gym nearby is starting to look like a better idea. The one I currently go to is only open for 4 days a week for a couple of hours per day whereas this other gym is open 6 days for like 7 hours. It's not that far from my current gym so travel isn't an issue. But this new one has been producing more regional champions and has more coaches. And it would be much easier to train consistently because of the opening times. I have a lot of respect for the guys in my current gym and the coaches and once again it's a successful gym in its own right. A few guys who left my current gym to go to this new one have never come back and have gone on to do well in the ams. I am really tempted to join this gym but don't want to burn any bridges. How should I go about it? I know it's still a business to some trainers and they won't give a ***** but I still can't shake the idea of being disrespectful

I'd say just try it out man. I've been there before. It's not disrespect if you find something better. It's like any other business, if you're not under any contract you can freely switch to any other place that suits you better.

Let's say I've gone to one barber for a couple of years and I see my friends have switched to one that I like how their hair looks and want to try it out. The logical thing is that I try it out if I like it more than my original barber I'll just keep going to this new place. They have to understand it's a competition and if you switched it's because this new gym offered something they couldn't.

Yeah I was thinking of gradually going to the other one one or two days. I mean like you say I mean no disrespect but like the barber situation it seems the other place has more to offer. Thanks man
