  • Finding Marcianos way of punching better than Dempseys!

I am finding that a solid grounded punch hits harder than a drop step punch because even though you move your body violently forward and rotate your hips to drop step punch, because it isn't grounded you cant get your legs into it and you cant stay rooted to the ground.

Room for both but grounded is stronger im finding.

    Is that correct?

at times Dempsey leaves his feet behind him/ the rest of his body as is the tendency with the drop step, theres no way its grounded or getting any leg drive , it does have gravity and momentum though to make up for this not to mention speed and rapid stepping which rocky doesn't possess, although that's dangerous to you as well as them

not sure. You are confusing many things here. You have to chop a bit your question into provable parts.

straight punches can be effectively "launched" and jolted forward where the feet can be lifted of the ground, like dempsy's technique, he throws mainly straight punches

hooks, like marciano punches, are better thrown when the feet are planted to the floor.
