16 oz. or 18 oz. gloves

Hey all, I'm gonna get some new gloves for sparring and hitting the bag. I've been using 16 oz. gloves but I've been thinking about getting some 18 oz. gloves. What are your thoughts/experiences using 18 oz. is it too heavy? Will it start messing with my technique? I weigh about 180 pounds if it makes a difference.

I feel that 18oz aren't as good for sparring as 16s not because of weight but I feel 18s are way too big. I'm usually around the 135 -138 lb range and they feel too bulky when you're sparring. I guess it depends on the person but if I'm gonna wear heavier gloves I usually just do endurance drills with them and stick to the usual 16oz for sparring.

I use 16 for bag and sparring, you have some people that own a separate pair from different styles of bags to wiping their azz.
