And i weigh more than him at 135lbs tapia in his last bouts he was at 126-130 how is that possible?? im same height as tapia 5'6 and but i look slim and people say i look gaut... By the time you hit 30 you start to lose lean muscle mass. Although as a boxer you'd expect some of that to be offset, I'd imagine that he had periods of inactivity and detrimental living between training camps.

I've got an uncle who has been roughly the same weight for the last 10 years but his wife keeps telling him that he's gotten fat. He's adamant that he hasn't 'cause he weighs the same. It's clear to anyone with eyes that the man is carrying timber. That's because he's ageing and no longer does a manual job. He's lost lean mass and gained fat.

Tapia could have put on as much as a stone between the weigh in and the fight so you also have to factor that in but it's likely that you weigh more but are leaner because you're carrying more lean tissue. You could also bigger boned. I'm the same height as my father but if we weighed the same he'd look seriously ill 'cause his bone structure is twice as thick as mine.
