    This.

No need to go on weird diets man. Just make sure you eat plenty of calories. I suggest you go to 6 in stead of 4 meals a day. The less meals you plan, the more calories per meal. For instance if you would need 4000 calories to bulk up, that would be a 1000 calories per meal while if you were to do 6 meals that would be less.

Find out your maintenance level of calories and make sure you eat more than that every day. There are plenty of calculators to help you do that. This is 1 for instance (http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm) Simple as that.

i dont think im jacked or anything, but ive put on a good amount of muscle mass. if you are trying to gain weight, obviously you need to be in a caloric surplus. with those calories, they need to be divided into the proper ratio of macronutrients. also, eating a lot of salad isnt great for getting big since it fills you up without much substance. what i did is a gram of protein per bodyweight and around 2 times my bodyweight for carbs. you can always look on like the bodybuilding.com forums they have good info there. also, be realistic in your goals and the timetables, seeing dramatic results takes a ton of time

Solid advice fellas. I might add some multi-vitamins to the intake plan. I know they make people hungrier and maybe that will help me eat more protein.

Ready for some solid gym bro science?

Carbs. Back when I was a little beta and still heavy into gym, when bulking, you lived off chicken and carbs. And I didn't even eat that much protein. I would have bread with every single meal and a side of meat. I basically lived off pastas and steaks, or breads and turkey.

Mike Tyson ate a strict diet of fruits, pastas and steaks. If you want to put on mass and stay energised carb load everyday. Eating protein and carbs before bed also helps at putting on weight, seeing as its around 6-8 hours of your body not doing anything.
Basically eat as much bread with every meal and try to cram in as many live chickens into your mouth as you can fit.

Says you don't need to eat much protein, encourages eating lots of chicken and mentions Tyson eating lots of steak. Both of which are rich in protein. I agree with your advice though. Eating lots of carbs can help gain weight while training. Don't believe that crap about not eating carbs

Sorry let me re-phrase, I always felt that ensuring eating more carbs then protein is important. It seems that what everyone cares about is protein, when there are other factors to help with gaining mass aside from protein.

But yeah, don't listen to all those ****in ****** health fads, carbs are vital to almost everything. So remember to eat and all that funky stuff.

Eat more. You likely get <3000 calories in a day.

So you need to eat a f0ck ton more. 20 calories per pound of body weight.

You can do this by straight up eating food but it's really difficult. You can also take high quality protein shakes between each meal and before you start your day and before you go to sleep.

Ex: Wake up - Protein Shake - Work out - Breakfast - Protein Shake - Lunch - Protein Shake - Dinner - Workout - Protein Shake - Sleep. *Repeat*

Anyways. You HAVE to eat more and you HAVE to get in the gym. All this light weight non-sense gotta go. All this idea of working out like boxers, gotta go. You have to lift heavy, implement Olympic lifts and continuously increase the weight that you are lifting (weekly) while consuming a f0ck ton of protein, carbs, vegetables, and fruit. Not to mention cardio, it's still needed but not marathon type ****. A brief sprint will do you more good than a Boxer's 5 miles a day.

Last but not least, you NEED sleep. 8 hrs of sleep and the above, you'll get bigger. Point blank period.

Summary: Eat MORE (3k cals or more), Lift HEAVY, get SLEEP.

You must feed the machine. Carbs & fat provide energy, protein builds muscle. Too much of either is stored as fat. Supplementation makes up for what the body doesn't get enough of from diet. You need them if you are lifiting and want to grow. Like the other guy said, check out bodybulding.com, research and read reviews on the best supplements. Stay away from 'roids!
