    Marijuana and working out..what are the pros and cons?

    post and discuss....is it cool to smoke weed while trying to get in shape?? and would it not be better then drinking?

    I really cant see any positive things about smoking and training...

      I've heard people say it relaxes you and you can train longer. But I can't verify that for sure.

        If you're going to smoke it would probably be better to smoke post-workout, preferably from a vaporizer IMO.

          i've done countless marathons, halves and a 50k all blazed and i place well in a good portion. personally, it takes away all jitters of competition and just lets me focus on what i need to do and i feel like it increases my lung capacity.

          on that 50k in cali i did a couple months ago, i literally toked w/ another dude on like mile 20 while we took a downhill.

          i dunno anyone who can train w/ alcohol in their system.

            Yea should have made it clear i meant POST workout.. i wouldn't wanna relax before working..although i have heard of body builders doing so in the past

              You should not drink or smoke before you workout. However I've found out that every once in a while I have really good nights at the gym when I pop a norco.

                  As far as lifting and health goes, its definitely better than alcohol. Beyond that, there are pros and cons. Way more pros than cons, but the fact is you are inhaling smoke. Which, oddly enough, THC opens up the lungs, increasing oxygen and blood flow, etc. Great for people with asthma. But yeah, even the act of inhaling THC smoke has its pros and cons. Youre pretty much gold if you are vaporizing it tho.

                  Great if your trying to bulk, not so much if you're trying to cut weight lol.
