I work out before dinner @ home. Bought myself a decent amount of weights over the years & there's a treadmill too.

If your an active fighter you can't have a full meal at 6pm and fight in two or three hours. You schedule your meals around your spar time that will be your fight time. (anywhere from 7:30 to 10PM)
Normally a cup of cereal with a small amount of fruit as you stretch and prepare for road work. Then a good first meal is after road work (breakfast) then gym, then dinner. The biggest meal is in the mid day when the body has the least activity (maybe a walk) and time to digest properly.
Later your spar times become close to fight time. Keeping a strict schedule is beneficial for mind and body a strong routine breeds confidence.

By dinner I think he means your big meal. You need lots of calories of you're training hard all day, full-time, like was described above but no one wants to feel too full or like they're ready to take a massive dump mid-sparring around 7pm, lol

          lol true.

If I'm sparring that day, I try to eat as light as possible before and then have a big meal afterwards. Not only do I feel like I need to take a dump if I eat a large meal, but I also feel sluggish and groggy.

If it's a run I like to go in the evening when it is still warm but getting cold. Training any time the morning and evening I dont' mind I just like training partners.

So are you saying we should not eat anything after training. If so why? Also my trainign finishes at 21:30 and I get home around 22:00. What would you advice me to do?

I'm a spaz mid day, naturally nocturnal. If I try to work out in the middle of the day I end up taking a nap or snacking instead. I think if I got in a street fight at 12 noon an old lady could whoop me.

Early morning for my boxing specific workouts. I'm definitely a morning bird and I have that clarity early on in the day. Late night for road work by far. Less slow walkers all in the way and cooler temp.

Brooo I found this out the hard way. Having to take a dump while in the middle of a 7 mile run is an experience to say the least.

I like to workout between 5 - 7:30 pm during the week and then midday on weekends. I find that if I workout any later than 7:30-8 pm then I run the risk of being too 'amped up' and it affects my sleep.
