You are correct, I've never seen such massive doses of misinformation in one thread before. Lactate(it's only lactic acid for a millisecond at most) is used by the body for energy and has nothing to do with cramping.

Stretching also does nothing to prevent cramping. It only increases your flexibility.

The main way you can prevent cramping is to stay hydrated and make sure you get enough potassium and sodium throughout the day.

I have a BS in exercise physiology btw.

We are referring to muscle fatigue and soreness ............

E.g. Massage , stretching doesn't help with lactic acid removal but has other benefits

And since you brought up cramping , a supplementation of too much salt can actually cause cramping ..................

Sometimes it's just a random state of events.

Some days I can jump rope for half an hour non stop, no problem... other days the first 5 mins is brutal.

If you're in shape, and especially running shape... It was probably just an off day. Sure we can attribute it to 20 different things... I wouldnt put too much thought into it.. Youll be fine.
Yea I'm sure it is. I'm diggin this weight lifting thing though. I'm getting stronger and fast. My boy told me it will level off after a few months, but I'm surprised how much stronger I have gotten.

You claimed that lactic acid builds up in your body and effects your whole body which isn't true at all. As soon as you rest for a minute lactic acid is oxidized into glucose and used for energy.

Massages don't have any benefits except for making you feel good. It doesn't help muscle recovery at all.

And yes, as with anything, too much salt is harmful. I never said eat all the salt you can, just make sure you get enough.
