I am an orthodox boxer and I am trying to work on my footwork. If I am sparring another orthodox fighter wich side I mostly go to? Do I mainly move to the right or to the left? I know you need to move both sides.. But my question is against an orthodox fighter, wich side you mainly move to? I am talking if you guys are kinda in the middle of the ring. Thx!

Moving left is the natural choice because your sliding with your lead foot first!
Moving right is an awkward motion to learn correctly mainly because of the tendency to put your feet down "in line" so that your balance is interrupted.
An easy drill to learn to step or "slid left" is to utilize double and triple jabs as you move. Lateral left and right will take some time to get used to but that and working in & out are essential motions every fight needs to have in their form. Regardless if your on your toes boxing or short stepping pressing you need a lot of time during shadow sessions to perfect your motion. Ray.

Depends on what type of fighter your fighting,, does he favor left hooks then move to your left, if he is right hand happy, then move to the right to take it away..
but in all honesty, you should move both ways, you dont want to become predictable, as you will get timed and countered if you move the same way everytime...
