    water between rounds in competition

    do they drink it?
do they rinse their mouth/throat with it?
do they do a bit of both?
do most boxers do the same?
and what is the reasoning behind what they do?
could warm water be a better option ?

Ya sit down ya take a squirt.
ya swish it around in your mouth to remove blood and such
      Ya spit it out.

Ya look up and get a squirt.
      Ya gargle it around.
      Ya spit it out.

Ya get another, after your breathing is under control, and you swallow it.
Ya listen to your cornerman as they work cuts and such.

Ya hear the 10 second warning.
Ya stand up and get a finishing squirt that you can discard of or ingest.

The bell rings and you go out there to put your 'foot in dat ass'.
      Another bell rings.

      Repeat.

Warm water is the worst, take it as cold as you can get it..........

            Mostly just a quick sip/rinse.

If you are dehydrated than you didn't hydrate properly going into the fight. Mostly you just get rid of blood or wet the mouth which might get dry from the constant work.
