Why are you consuming sugars before bed, you doughnut.

Eating at night isn't bad, it's what you eat - sugar is by far the worst thing you can eat anyway, let alone before bed. It shags the fuck out of your adrenal glands.

Green tea is good for fat loss, look into other natural foods that also aid it. Natural > Supplement, every time. Look at your diet first and see what needs supplementing. Omega 3 fats is good, zinc is another one.

some people do a lot more. it's really not a crazy supplement. it does make you strong, and really helps with recovery. if you lift weights, i'd suggest trying it out.

as for losing weight, whatever gets your heart rate skyrocketing, and leaves you drenched in sweat, is best.

i can pedal a stationary bike for a very long time. when i get off the seat and do one minute sprints every five or ten minutes, it's a real workout.

i'd try and find something that works for you. you want to find something you can do regularly, and that you'll enjoy. right now, i'm loving the stationary bike at my gym.

the activity that i believe to be the one that's burned the most calories for me was hockey. you sprint for minute long shifts wearing a ton of equipment. i can't think of anything that burns more calories minute per minute. ice time is expensive, and i haven't played in years other than pond skating.
Great, that is, overall, very good advice. I didn't mean anything by "that's crazy," it's just an expression I use in order to say, or mean, "wow, okay."

Well, I know sugars are bad before sleep. However, I am mostly driven by what my body is asking me for. And after a hard 4 miles and boxing workout, I just have a strong craving for carbs. Luckily, fruit has a high glycemic load, maybe? It's pretty interesting when you eat healthy, in portions, and workout hard. Your body will tell you what it wants, like protein, or carbs, and you will learn to really appreciate the foods you take in. Someone was talking about this in a earlier thread. But, yeah, I may suck it up, avoid the fruits at night, and just drink my hibiscus tea and a bit of water after my workout, to rehydrate.

Have a snack prepared for night like cottage cheese, almonds, eggs, vegetables. Could even prepare yourself a small meal just avoid sugar. 'Sugar' is quite a broad term but just avoid fruits and processed sugars. If it ends in 'ose', it's a sugar.

I classify processed sugar as bad as alcohol and smoking. Cut that out of your diet if you want to see a big weight-loss, increase of energy and many other benefits e.g digestive system.

Yes, good advice. I was thinking about replacing the fruit at night with some plain yogurt, or something that induces sleep. Here is my diet, which I've stuck to on a daily basis, for 6 weeks. I would say my serving size is based on a little less than a handful portion.

            Breakfast:
Oatmeal (Flax Seed, Cinammon, Banana, Water), Popcorn (Air Popped), Plain yogurt

            Lunch:
            Beans, Lentils

            Dinner:
Sauteed Eggs (or Chicken), Veggie Shake (Spinach, Tomato, Celery, Carrot, Brocolli, Parsley, Strawberries)

            Snacks:
            Mixed Nuts, Watermelon

            Drinks:
1 gallon water, green tea, hibiscus tea, 100% chocolate powder (cocoa) tea

            Exercise:
Run 4 miles, Boxing (1.5 hours)

Buy yourself a food scale then Google 'IIFYM', set-up an adequate calorie plan and follow it. I use MyFitnessPal which is good for tracking goals/calories. Some might think it's too much but it's just a way of regulating what your intake is. You make sure to pay close to attention to how much goes in your car, why not your body?

Essentially, this is a good way of looking at food - as a fuel.

its all about quality, however long someone is working out, as long as they are going nearly all out constantly.
