    You know, when you execute a hook?

    hooks should be thrown with your fist like it would be if you were holding a mug.

      yeah i know but i was watching friday night fights and teddy says that you get more power with turning it over

        The main thing is keeping your elbow lined up behind the rotation of the body and direction of the hook, e.g. arm horizontal in hook to the head. Drop the elbow and you get a slap whether you turn the hand over or not. Some people throw the hook with the palm already down, like Marciano used to. Probably turning the hand over would make it easier to cut the opponent.

          Alot of MMA strikers throw hooks with the palm down, Chuck liddell does both, but Fedor throws em palm down he seems to **** people up with ease.. Palm down allows more on an extention of the arm as well..
