  • Weightclass Confusion

I'm 5'10" (barely) and have a wingspan of 74 inches.
I just started training around 4 months ago with one of those months spent in a gym and I've gone from 240 to 195 in that time period, mostly due to diet. Lowest I've ever been in my life was 180 and that was in high school, I am now 26. People I've talked to have said I should go for Middleweight but I think that sounds crazy low. How does one even go about figuring out where on the scale you should fall? Do you just lose weight until you feel weaker and then round up? With the way I hold weight I feel like I'm doomed to be the short guy.

First of all props on the weight loss, I think you should stick to where you feel right, I'd say first try and lose all the fat you can, it's not necessary but why not try and be the best you can be? I'm barely 5'9 and 149lbs, I'm actually trying to get down to 135, I have unnecessary upper body fat. The thing I'm tryna say is just listen to your body, and just try and be the best you can be.
