its okay in small doses but you should rather eat natur rice, oaths and durum wheat pasta.

if your trying to lose weight eating just lean meats, fruits and greens are a good idea

White rice contains many complex low quality carbohydrates. Brown rice is much healthier and should be used in place of white rice. When you eat allot of white rice, the complex carbs are very often stored as fat. It takes longer for you metabolism to process white rice. Brown rice contains better quality carbs while also providing tons of fiber.

White rice is good for right after a workout, as it digested quicker than brown, although brown is better in general because it provides more over a longer period of time. The same goes for bread, white right after a workout and whole-grain any other time.

            Avoid the "whites"....

This is what some folks say, "whites" referring to white food, e.g. rice, flour, potatoes, white bread, sugar, etc. White grains are mostly starch, and starch is converted to table sugar in one chemical reaction, and glucose in the next. So white grains flood the blood with glucose, which is probably OK after a tough workout, but, given the opportunity, the body will convert the extra carbs to fat and save them. So multi-grain products are better, since each grain is digested at a different rate. Also whole grains, because the fiber (dark part of the grain)will absorb some of the sugar that's produced and cause it to be released more slowly as it passes through the guts.

its simply unprossed rice thats why its often called natural rice, it tastes ok it just takes longer time to boil.
