  • the best combination of workouts possible FOR ACTUAL ATHLETES THAT PLAY SPORTS

for the last year or so i been doing..

straight calisthetics and olympic lifts: snatches, split jerks, push presses, clean pulls, high pulls, cleans, rows & deadlifts, front squats, overhead squats & overhead lunges (there are a few others and other variations) im basicaly at the squat rack for an hour and a half every workout

ive done every workout possible and the combination of these olympic lifts mixed with calisthetics by far gave me my best balanced physique possible and ever. what makes it great is it even correlates into my athletic movements very well. im explosive, fast and powerful. im on a basketball & a football team at the moment and play officated games on the weekends here in nyc. i also box and spar with friends for fun too, can go 8-9 rounds usually.

but for athletes that actually play sports, this is your best workout plan possible!

any questions referring to exercise and/or diet go ahead, ive been working out for 7 years, been playing sports competitively for about 11 years and currently go to school for occupational therapy in sports medicine. so yeah i know my sht.. ask away!!

I'd have to go with The Whopper w/cheese and onion ring combo over the Big Mac w/fries combo after a workout, for people who actually play sports. That's my favorite........... Rockin'

Uhm... how about a boxing routine?

Actually aids in fighting and health for people who actually box. That should be a good one.

wtf? big mac is garbage. stick w the whopper, has to have cheese tho (protein) nd if your gna get the onion rings, fck wit that zesty sauce, ****in
but w the type of regiment i suggested you burn so many calories you can eat basically whatever you want. youre gna need all the calories, carbs nd proteins you can get, to burn off anyway, EAPECIALLY if your playing sports like you mentioned.. you probably took a nutrition class or somethng before rockin

The best workout for athletes who play sports is to practice that particular sport.

You might be good at basketball, football, and boxing. Are you great at any of them?

Sbleeder, good post. excellence comes at a cost - you can't be fantastic at everything

I was f'n around with my original reply, although eating a burger king whopper plain was in order a few times. I had to train on an empty stomach when I worked, but afterwards a plain whopper was good for me............. Rockin'

I swear by calisthenics. They make you strong and mobile plus give you endurance.

                    Never tried Olympic lifting.
