as far as 'know nothings', I got those words straight from Bill Miller when I asked him to check this place out. "Ah, those people don't know nothin' 'bout no boxing........". The longer that I've stayed the more obvious it became where his words were coming from. If the words offend you than you probably don't know nothin'. Anyway, I direct those words toward the guys who have comments of me yet have never seen me fight, spar or train.

you've done some boxing and want to stick up for these fools, that's fine. At the end of your amatuer and even possibly professional career look back on the days here and then look at the site in it's present time. You will conclude, unless something drastically changes, that in general people don't know nothin' 'bout no boxing. Especially when speaking of the art............... Rockin'
Maybe it's because I'm younger and I've got a lot more experience with social media sites and forums so it doesn't bother me as much. You can't expect much from the internet. This site is full of people who have no idea about boxing history, have obvious bias, and are absolutely terrible posters/trolls.

You know what? I'm okay with that, because you can't expect much more from a fan-site.

Boxingscene isn't a forum dedicated to fighters and trainers. It's a site dedicated to fans of the sport. It's a news source which attracts all sorts of people. To expect everybody to know as much as me, you, or Larry Merchant - is impossible. Instead of being disgruntled that people don't know enough about things, help them out and stop being so defensive. I've noticed when you become defensive about your knowledge and history, conflict happens. Accept what this site is and what people are, ignore the trolls, and just contribute like any general poster.

You might've fought professionally and I may be fighting in amateurs, but when we're on this site, we're just people behind a keyboard - just like everyone else on this forum. Brushing off and igrnoring the insults, trolling, and naivety just makes the browsing experience that much easier.

    That's my experience, at least.

that was one proper reply and thanks for being cool about it. As far as site experience, I've been here for half of your life and in/around the game for longer than you've been breathing air. Just sayin'. I appreciate your input, I truley do.

believe that for as long as you need to.

Maybe it's just how Michigan/Detroit fighters are brought up. Speaking it like it is. Long live Sr. !!!!!!

Scully knows his ****, you can't achieve what he has without knowing what's up. But I ask you, where is he helping out here in the T/N forum? I'm GIVING the real **** when I'm trying to help. They want to let the trolls feed off of me while telling their lies, that's fine. When was the last time......... I remember when I used to post in here regularly................. Rockin'
