Gotta pay the cost to be the boss.

What he's doing is not complicated but it does take discipline.

I think the genetics point is valid though. Chances are he could eat less disciplined and possibly still be in comparable shape. Look at Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd won't have Bernard's longevity because he eats too much crap (and because he doesn't want to fight into his 40s.)

He can burn off the junk because he trains so hard but he is giving his body less than ideal building blocks to repair itself. That will have an effect eventually.

Does anyone know for sure Floyd regularly eats **** food? I'm skeptical any pro athlete is that careless. When he's eating fast food on 24/7 it looks like part of his act.

That's always been my impression and I'm pretty sure it does get under his opponent's skin when they're striving to make weight.

It's not unheard of for elite athletes to eat bad food to fuel their workouts. Michael Phelps has admitted in the past to eating lots of garbage as well.

Floyd could be putting on a show...but I doubt it. Even Floyd Sr. said he has to eat a lot to keep his weight up near 154. Some people are just fortunate enough to have very inefficient (fast) metabolisms. And the way Floyd trains...

I know I feel pretty energized a couple days after eating some junk foods like cheeseburgers and fries or Chipotle...but mainly only if I still eat vegetables at some point in that day.

He was drinking soda mid-workout one time on 24/7.. He said it was for the energy boost.
