    I just wanna ask for tips because I've developed a bad habit of putting my left(lead) hand down, around neck level after throwing a jab, hook. I've tried fixing it through shadow boxing but it comes back after a while. I'm not sure if it's because of the shoulder endurance(gets tired easily)... It leaves me open for counters

    Keep at it with enough hours hitting the bag that it becomes second nature.
    You made a bad habit - so now you have to retrain the body to where
    coming back to your defense position is second nature.

      Personally, speaking as a humble beginner, but anyway - what I did was kind of split the punch into two moves. The connecting with the target and then the retraction as a deliberate second move. Trying to treat the retraction the same level of importance as the punch.

      I just repeated this really slowly in front of the mirror and gradually sped it up until my muscles started remembering it and at full speed it just snaps back there automatically.

      So I guess you need to un-train yourself then re-train yourself in the new way slowly. To me now it feels weird dropping the hand because I've got myself so used to snapping it back to my temple - if that's your style of course. I employ a rather high guard turtle-ish style.

      and with the turtle style I kind of tried to think in terms of always being able to feel your hands on your chin/temple only releasing for a second to throw a punch then straight back glued on the head.

      This may be a bit basic for you but I reckon slowing it down and speeding it up again occasionally does quite a bit of good for technique.

        Work on the bag relentlessly, throwing the jab and bringing it straight back up, don't worry about it, like the people above said, you've developed a bad habit, you learned that bad habit which means (to quote American History X) you can unlearn it as well.

        Get on the heavy bag and shadow boxing, don't stress yourself out over it

            I'll try doing this everyday! I prefer bringing mine back to eye/nose level. Hope I get to change the bad habit completely. Appreciate your advice mate!

                I wear 16oz gloves for pretty much everything when im boxing training i found! well i feel its made a helluva difference i used to get tired arms and i could feel the weight in the gloves when holding my hands up but consistent practice has finally given me comfort with the 16s and when the 10s go on its go time!!.

                  I'll be investing on heavier pairs of gloves! Mine's 12 only. But I do try light dumbells to increase shoulder endurance. What's your height and weight btw? I've tried 16s before and I feel like all my punching power's gone. Lol

                    Like others have stated, work on it endlessly during shadow boxing and while you hit the bags. There's really not too much else to it that I can think of unless Ray, Rockin, Cuah, ect. can off their expertise on the issue. Also, make a buddy who knows how to do mittwork aware of this issue and to constantly "check" you during a mitt session.
