Unless you need to be on a budget theres no way you work without heat!
My gym was/is in Conn. and New England winters are COLD!The last Ring One that I ran had hot showers and forced heat with windows up near the ceiling (wall height was 12ft) When you have 100 bodies in a gym it gets pretty toasty but without heat your at a disadvantage! Ray.

I agree completely...I love training when it's hot and you can just ring sweat out of your clothes.

"You can't cook with cold grease"

I train in a gym with no heat now, but I do it mainly for fitness. I avoid sparring when it's real cold. The one time I competed, it was in March after training in the cold. I noticed a huge difference when under the hot lights in a heated venue compared to training in the cold.

We don't have heating either so it's freezing in the winter. I always give the lads a good warm up though so it's not an issue for the boxers after the first few minutes).

I like to be mobile (i.e. simulate a bout) on the pads (where appropriate) so I often end up with a bit of a sweat on myself.

You lot will hate where i go, first i live off the coast of spain where im at the sun shines 350 days a year the club is like 2mins from the beach and theres 3 swimming pools on the complex the club building is connected too.In the summer the coach offers air con i hate it but its funny watching the holiday maker boxers stand under it gasping for air the place is underground so if your not used to it you will suffer i dive in the pool after training its awesome.

If your sweating you won't notice that there's no heat.
