Best gloves for training/sparring

Hi im wondering what would be the best glove to buy. i currently use a pair of lonsdale gloves i bought for around £15, they split shortly after. i box reguarly, so i will need a set of gloves for bag work and sparring. i will be having some ameteur fights aswell in the future but i wont be using my training gloves obviously.

ideally i want a decent enough wrist support, i do have weak wrists. i have no other hand or knuckle problems. i was thinking 14/16 oz maybe? i will hopefully be fighting at 140 or maybe slightly heavier.

any other info let me know, price isnt that important but ideally as this is going to be my first major purchase in this area i would like them to last and be an appropriate price, thanks

Twins 16oz hook and loops are very durable and offer good knuckle protection. They're pretty easy on your sparring partners as well. I wouldn't say the wrist support is anything special, but the price is right.

There are a lot of great gloves out there, titleboxing.com has plenty to chose from if you wana buy online but they don't have the Winning brand. Anyway when you are chosing what gloves to get, the most important thing you should always consider is the protection that the glove will provide for your hands and for your sparring partner. Never use the gloves you use for bag work in sparring bro because the pading in the knuckle area gets worn and it increases the chance of injuring your sparring partner and your hands. A sparring glove should always be really well padded and not worn out, try to buy yourself a seperate pair, one for training and the other to be used only for sparring. I would recommend 16oz gloves and for training I would recomend getting hook and loop gloves because it's easier for you to put them on without assistance from someone, but for sparring try to go with lace up gloves because they are usually more snug and provide better support for your wrist too, it also prevents having to re-adjust the gloves during your session.
