    Heres Bruce.

See even Bruce ends up front heavy or heavy on the front foot and in no position to follow up with an cross for an instant 1-2.

If you push off hard even if you glide, your front foot will land first and the rest of the body still hasnt totally stopped and its momentum will tip you a tiny bit forward putting the weight on your front foot, that coupled with the rotation, makes it hard not to end up front loaded on this punch and if you don't end up front loaded and keep your weight back you loose alot of its power.
    You're welcome & exactly.

Like I said when you land front heavy at the end of the strike the he used to stress a quick escape using the weight put on that foot. As far as be in position for another strike is purely determined by the discipline you practice. I want to agree with you but I have to hit the heavy bag first because I'm not as concious of it as you are.

here's how I do it: weight more on back foot, back heel slightly up and when throwing left jab I push with back foot AND plant it while front foot (on toes) slides forward. front knee bends.

now my jab is out and I'm all loaded for right hand. I fire right hand with back foot moving forward at the same time and pivoting at the same time.

Bruce Lee actually did fight Wong Jack Man in China Town SF. Wong Jack Man
after that fight started training anglos. I trained with him. Also there during that
showdown fight was YC Wong and a number of other martial arts teachers.
Yes he was also an actor but his skills were good. Just because he wasn't a boxer
doesn't mean that some of his techniques might not be good to adopt and use for
          boxing.
