We are adopting the new AIBA rules as from the 1st of Jan 2014.

Don't quote me on this but ... I think the masters division will be gone. If so, you will be able to box anyone between 19 and 40.

Wow thanks for the reply. Is this TRUE?

Will my coach and other coaches know about this?

        I box in England

I doubt your coaches will know much about the new rules yet as we have just voted to accept them

However, I'm fairly sure AIBA recently changed the maximum age limit to 40 years old. The ABAE (Englands governing body) have had to adopt AIBA's rules in full to avoid being banned from international boxing. We have to follow AIBA rules from january the 1st 2014. So, in theory you should be able to box till your 40.

          What club are you at?

I box out of west Yorkshire.

so this means that I would be classed as a senior and I could box seniors?

If that's TRUE then I should be able to get fights much easier , right? Coz seniors are 19-40 now?
