  • i dont know my natural fight weight...help

when i eat junk food consistently or just 4/5 medium/large meals a day..

i dont go over 177lbs..thats usually my limit i never cross nor do i try, its just that my body doesnt manage to go over

however, when i train and try lose weight, i usually run 5 miles and eat a meal full of veg and protein n water + fruit through out the day

i can get down to about 150 over 6 weeks or so

is this my natural fight weight...

i feel light n quick but my body feels light n skinny

    i need some advice

im a quick fighter, good punch power...i want to eat, train appropriately

at 147/150 i feel cool but a bit fragile

do u guys think i should move up to 160/165 and look to build muscle plus explosive power

    similar to triple g

im around 5'10 and a half with a bit of a gut

Whatever weight your at when producing your best sparring is your fight weight! The weight you hold while your fastest and most powerfull production is offered along with stamina should be your fight weight!
Hopefully that weight is slightly more than your weight limit so your rehydration is around 7 pounds in two days.
If you box amatuer and weighins are the same day then you can't stray to far from the weight class limit. I would keep my amatuer guys a few pounds from the limit because theres no time to rehydrate. Most tournies you also weighin throughout the duration so you fight in a weight class you can make each day without stress!
Sparring should answer all your questions as to weight, strength, stamina etc.....Ray.

Well that would depend...have you sparred guys around your weight? Do they hit too hard for you to handle or are they too fast, etc? If you feel weak at that weight then yes, you can lose some body fat...

I also read somewhere that anything over 12% is useless for an athlete
