I was meant to be fighting on our show tommorow night! First show off the year, first fight off mine.. Went in to train today to hear the guy had cancelled.. I was so heartbroken my energy just left my body and now im going to sleep with the possibility that my coach gets me a fight or i just have to watch everyone else.. Im annoyed and don't know how to motivate myself to even go watch everyone else tommorow... Just looking for some sound advice on how to overcome this hurdle and also the fact that i might still be fighting but i'very gone into a stateoof depression!

Getting depressed over it means you're going to loose the motivation too fight / train, not really out of choice, if you aren't happy then you're training is going too go downhill, keep up the pace that you're training at now and it won't be too long before you get your chance to get in the ring, if you don't get another opponent then go too the event and cheer on your mates, not much else you can do, keep your head up, you've got plenty of time left, see it as having more time too prepare for your first fight and nothing has actually changed.

just be sure to make it to the weigh-ins, that's where being in the right place at the right time can pay off.

My advice, quit your whinning and just man up, if it's meant to be it will be.............. Rockin'

See to it that you stick with your training and weight if you really wanna fight. Mine was cancelled 3 weeks ago, too. My first fight is moved to May next year. Really heartbreaking. I trained hard for five months, got injured twice, too. I got depressed when I found out that my fight was cancelled after all the hardwork I put so I think I know how you're feeling. I gained 10 f**king pounds in 3 weeks of vacation because of it and now I'm regretting it. I just got back on track a few weeks. My advice is try to work and discipline yourself still despite the cancellation of the fight. It will come!

I've been f***ed a few times on fight night. Sucks when you get yourself pumped and ready to fight, only to turn up to the scales and find out your opponent is a no-show or 20 lbs overweight...
