    Sore ass hands

I got my heavy bag up the other day and i finally got to hit it...
Well my hands, well mostly my knuckles are hurting pretty bad.

I wrapped my hand pretty damn well but the still hurt.

I was using my new title platinum bag gloves that have some air tech **** in them... well i didnt feel the technology helping me out.

Is it me or is it kinda hard to make a tight fist while wearing wraps and wearing the bag gloves?

I think that might have been the problem?

    Any similar experiences?

It's normal, when I first got my 200 pound Wavemaster bag(don't recommend it, you lose technique) I didn't even use wraps. My knuckles were hurting the first 3-4 days then it felt normal with no pain. I still don't use handwraps to this day, too lazy i guess.

gio, how the hell were you able to hurt your hands with brand spanking new bag gloves? also, how heavy was the heavy bag? because, the lighter weight you are you would generally want to start out with a very light bag such as 75 - 100 lbs.

a good question was, have you been taught how to punch? now, what i find interesting is that, if someone doesn't punch properly, they are more likely to sprain or have sore wrists. if you're knuckles are hurting as you had pointed out, then it would seem that you haven't conditioned your fists at all especially considering that you were using brand new gloves.

I dont think you are wrapping ur hands right bro, i can make a pretty good fist with my wraps and gloves on.

also maybe try not to kill the bag at first, u dont wanna mess up ur hands it could be permanent.

Remember to wrap with ur hand and fingers wide and open, i think ur either overtightening ur wraps or simply arent wrapping correctly, there is definitely a proper wrapping procedure u cant just make what looks pretty.

            Hope i helped man.

My bag is 140 #'s. Yeah, ive been taught by my trainer. I should really rephrase the title and say my knuckles hurt.

U kno what bro, i think u may be right, i think ive been wrapping my hannds too tight. I do have the tendensy to make my wraps look as good as possible as well.

Ill just have to scrap that and just focus on protection.

Which wraps do you use? I have hurt my hands (Mainly my right) many times, the bag I bought is far too hard, even my Dad agrees, and its pear shaped when hes done with it.
