Please help me name stances what explain what they are for

    Hello,

how do you call these stances by Floyd (in blue)?

    1.

    2.

    What they are for?

I label the first stance - low/crouching Philly shell. This stance in amateurs seems invincible against long range attacks unless the opponent also gets low? What attack opportunities it provides?

The second stance I labeled as modern with high hands, Floyds uses it for the pull counter against the opponent's jab

    Why switch stances?

My guess is to confuse your opponent, see what he is prepared to do and what not?

You seemed to have labeled them correctly.

I was also wondering the same thing about switching stances seamlessly during a fight to get different looks. I dont have enough experience to see how well it works.
