agreed. aside from your co-sign of that bitter old man Corso, who lived his hey day in the 40's.

go all out in training. or at least push your limits daily.

rays a good guy. people on here like to talk bad about me too. my days were in the 80's and 90', may have been awhile ago but what I/we learned is for life. I'd rather have a 'hey day' many years ago than to have had no 'hey day' at all.

I have never had a problem with ray.......... Rockin'

Get a little more serious! Putting time in is fine however not being serious will usually get your butt kicked. Good think you don't compete! Every gym needs a safe spar partner to work with the new guys then get your butt kicked by the kids coming up! Your doin' fine keep up with the lack of seriousness!!!
        Ha! Ray
good to know that you were able to extract all this information and come to conclusions from a single post. By seriously I meant I don't place it above having an education or family. I still train at least 3x a week for boxing specific sessions and cardio on off days. I've started cutting down my weight by going on 1000 calories per day which makes it harder to push myself like usual. The guy I was sparring was a pro and I've only been training for little over a year.

so you, a 1 year amatuer, gets depressed because a profesional can work you over.

kid, in this sport learning to take a whoopin' and showing up the next day to do it all again is what the beginning is about. eveybody, I don't care who they are, has had their ass handed to them multiple times coming up in the sport. Relax, know that you put in good work the day before and then get there again the next day to do it all again. That's how you grow as a fighter,,,,,,,,,,Rockin

Taking the longer perspective helps a lot.

Boxing's a craft. It's been stated that it takes about 10,000 hours of practice to become a virtuoso in any choosen field. You would expect to pick up a guitar and be able to play it effortlessly. Boxing's the same, you develop in small increments.

One training session is just one in thousands that you'll be involved in.
