No spring chicken please... they are respectable times and good enoguh to win most park runs I'd suggest!
I'm 30 and currently at a 20 min 5k and 5:30 mile.
I need to get my 10k and 5k times down again had a hip injury, well actually bursitis.

I'd bet you'd crack those times on a weekly diet of say 25-30 miles per week when uninjured. Maybe an easy paced conversational 12 miles on a Saturday and a couple of 30 min quality sessions on Monday and Thursday with warm ups and cool downs. It'd do wonders for your sparring stamina.......Comment

Back when I was in the Marines our fitness test was 3 miles, best I ever got was 18:30 and I was a hell of alot skinnier. I honestly despise running, but I find it a necessary evil to staying in shape in my ever advancing age. I did run 15 miles once with my platoon, worst experience of my life hahaComment

Three miles in 18:30 isn't bad at all. It roughly equates to a 19:10-19:20 5K.Comment
