  • If you had to choose between training methods

Say you had to pick only 3 methods of boxing training to improve your skills, what would they be? i.e. jump rope, pads, shadowboxing etc. This doesn't include sparring since nothing replicates live combat.

    Shadowboxing, heavy bag, and mitts.

Actually I don't enjoy shadowboxing but I know it's important. Heavy bag develops power (& stamina). And mittwork -- IMO -- is the next best thing besides sparring. If I could train mitts 6 days a week (even if I had to skip other stuff), I would do it.

Heavy bag, Speed bag, shadow-boxing ... Mitts are overrated

        My choice as well.

Shadowboxing for your movement and fluidity. Heavy bag for power and endurance. Mitts for accuracy and defensive skill development.
