Twins Special gloves are durable and cheap, they are Muay Thai based gloves, but the only difference is just the thumb part, but it shouldn't bother too much I guess (I never sparred in those).
I use Rival gloves rs30v for sparring, good hand protection (especially the wrist), decent price. Quality is great, except for the paint job, but I'm here to box, not to model for boxing gloves.
I am saving up for a pair of Winning myself, though I might either go for a pair of Ringside IMF since I heard so much good things about it to save me some cash. Or maybe go back to another pair of Twins Special since I'm going overseas in October.Last edited by Fearless; 07-22-2013, 06:15 PM.

the best?
winning. they're reputed to provide the best protection and function, as well as being ultra durable. i have never used them, but that's what the top flight fighters use to spar the most.
that said, unless you really want them, i wouldn't suggest you buy winning gloves. they're too damn expensive for a begginner. you can get a much better value from some of the modern gloves being suggested here.
if you're a serious fighter then by all means buy winning, but if you're just getting a workout i would save your dough.
i used everlast in the 90's and 2000's, and they were terrific. i used grants in approx. 2010, and they were decent. i have used recent title gloves and i hated them. they honestly fit like two different sized gloves. the stitching was all over the place.Last edited by New England; 07-23-2013, 02:51 PM.
