I tried using my shoulder for defence a few times against the ropes and this guy just basically kept punching it and punching it until my arm went numb.

Anyway, im gonna try recording the session tommorow for you guys to critique, if you have any more tips or advice right now that would be cool. Cheers guys.

Not sure why such hard shots are thrown in a spar session! Seems like your being abused and taken advantage!! Winning the 3rd round? Who the hell counts rounds as won or lost when sparring!!! Your mixed up with some goofy people who don't know what threir doing but you sure are being taken advantage! Aztec Wanker ===Small Boy Slave!!

I had my share of "open rounds" in my time and had a few wars in the gym with guys like Saad Muhammed and Ty Booze with Kenny Schmidt beating each other up but it was rare that I let a fighter under my guidance take abuse the way your taking it!! Amatuers!!! Ray Corso

He also leads with his chin, and uses his chin as a windsock up in the air to line up punches while his hands figure out how quick to flail.

Maybe I'm not giving this guy enough credit, but he looks like very easy work to me....especially if you know how to move and can work in and out and turn him.

Look how he responds when punches are thrown at him. He just stands there covered up. He never looks to punch IN BETWEEN the other guy's punches or move out of the way, he just waits for him to STOP punching. This guy just makes the mistake of sticking around for the return receipt as Teddy Atlas puts it.

I'd use footwork and pick this guy apart as he came forward, then turn him over and over again. Then every so often, I'd sit down on some ****. He looks like a great candidate for a hook body, hook head around his guard combo as you pivot out and he's covered up.

I agree with Ray as well, y'all going about sparring all wrong.

is it just me or does that guy look kind of amateurish in that video? He would drop his hands way too low when he would go to the body and left his chin completely open, you could counter the **** out of him and stick and move depending on how good you are

                    This thread has been fun . . . and a solid troll . . .

That bruise is of Mitch, during a kayaking accident, in april of 2010 . . .
