Overtraining SPEEDS up the aging process. There is quite a lot of research on this,so if you want to get old fast continue what you are doing. A personal trainer friend sent me a link on the subject. I will try and find it or get him to send it again and post it.

      who needs a link?

every laborer who ever worked hard for a few years in a row can tell you that.

SBleeder. He needs it spelled out to give himself the permission to train PROPERLY as opposed to over training.

Seriously, TS. Even just ONE DAY of rest can make a huge difference. Just one day with absolutely no physical activity besides maybe some stretching. Trust me one day isn't going to kill you.

Maybe train Mon-Fri and take the weekends off or maybe train Mon-Sat and take Sunday off.

Also, I don't know what your diet is like or how much sleep you get but try to eat healthy and aim for 8 hours of sleep every night.

            Thanks to everyone here.

I will resist the urge to go back to the gym or go back on the road, and will give my body a little rest.

Good man. Work ethic is a good thing, but being stubborn in the face of proven advice only hurts you in the long run.

Schedule regular rest for muscle groups into your workout and those muscles build back up on the off days -- and suddenly you start feeling younger with some spring in your step.
