Are you just right handed and just want to fight lefty?

Am a lefty who started in orthodox and have been training that for about 2 months and I mentioned that am a lefty to my coach and he said to try it on the bags, after watching me on the bags he said I look more natural and relaxed in southpaw. But the thing is my left straight just feels off and less accurate then my right straight and does not have the same power, in southpaw my lead right hook has good power behind it though. Now on the mitts in southpaw when starting a 1-2 I start with a left straight instead of a jab because am used to orthodox and the head coach told me he thought I was better in orthodox. So now I don't know what the hell to do.
Also I feel the same movement wise in both stances.
